A somewhat literal interpretation of the bandís name, this was issued by Blue Thumb, the independent label that released Bolanís early records in the States. Dating from pre-glam, pre-stardom days, this is perhaps the smallest image of Bolan ever seen on a poster. The typeface (Broadway) is an unusually early example of the kind of art deco styling that would become associated with T. Rex in the í70s; the record sleeves from the period were still using art nouveau lettering.
