Blondie (1977)

Back to Gallery

For a while the British press was uncertain whether Blondie was a group or a person. This poster promoting both the self-titled first album and the first British single illustrates the confusion: where the album sleeve showed the whole band, the promotional material focused exclusively on Debbie’s thrift-shop version of a Hollywood starlet, complete with high-gloss make-up, see-through top and self-confident stare into camera.
